Divesite:
The Brandy Wine is one of four vessels sunk as artificial reefs in an area off Key Biscayne known as US. Customs Reef.
On February 12, 2001, Customs inspectors discovered a false compartment under a waste oil tank in the forward cargo hold of the Brandy Wine. The Brandy Wine was sent to the bottom following the detonation of scuttling charges on July 13, 2001. She now rests upright and intact in 145 feet of water. The small wheelhouse and superstructure grace the bow of the vessel. Swimming west off the stern of the Brandy Wine, divers will encounter the 101-foot long Miguana.
