  • December 17, 1977: US. Customs Service Agents searched the vessel and found over 125 pounds of cocaine on board.

  • 1997: Siezed by the US. Customs Service in connection with an investigation into a drug smuggling operation.

  • Ken Vitale (divesite)

 

Divesite:

The ship was renamed the Ken Vitale, in memory of a local dive instructor who suffered a Heart Attack diving with students off Pompano Beach in November 1998. The wreck rests upright and is located amongst a cluster of several other vessels, including the tug Jay Scutti and the freighter Merci Jesus.
