HISTORY
On April 25, 1995, 40 pounds of dynamite were detonated onboard the 165~foot long offshore supply vessel Tortuga for the climax of the movie ”Fair Game.” The former Hollywood prop ultimately sank in approximately 110 feet of water off Miami. The history of this vessel is unclear, though records indicate the freighter may have formerly been named the Champion or Francia Express. The wreck now rests a short distance north of the Atlas Barge, and both can typically be explored on the same dive.
